Job Description
Studies with a Certified Educator (ACPE) and practices clinical pastoral education, in addition to providing pastoral/spiritual care service to patients, families, and staff. Learns to prepare curriculum designs, program evaluations, and the management of pastoral education programs.
Job Responsibility
1.Provides primary administrative support for recruitment, interviews, on-boarding of students.
2.Conducts observation learning.
3.Serve on hospital committees as assigned.
4.Participates on interdisciplinary teams.
5.Attends to psychological development and spiritual needs of patients, families, employees and staff.
6.Provides for faith-specific needs as requested.
7.Supervises students with increasing autonomy through certification process.
8.Present weekly reflections and twice monthly presentations for educational process.
9.Engage in ACPE Communities of Practice, including Racial Ethnic Multicultural (REM).
10.Maintain professional portfolio and progress through certification process at satisfactory rate

Job Qualification
*Master's Degree in Theology or Divinity, required.
*Certification in one or more of the following preferred: Association of Professional Chaplains (APC), National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC), or National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC).
*Completion of at least four units of Association for Clinical Pastoral Education(ACPE) Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), including a residency and at least one Level II unit, required.
*Completion of all required materials for entrance into ACPE national certification process, required.
*Endorsement by faith group, required.
*Minimum two years of experience in a healthcare and/or congregational setting.

The salary range for this position is $51,830-$79,300/year
