What you'll do:
Eaton's Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Global Category Manager, EMS Americas to join our team. This position is eligible for a hybrid work set up if candidates lives within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH location. Position is eligible for a remote work setup in the U.S. if not in the geographical area of Beachwood, OH.

Position Overview:
Our supply chain management team creates bottom-line impact by driving cost management and operational benefits. Within our supply chain, the Category Manager, Energy Management Services supports the development and deployment for half of the Americas category strategy ($100M directly supported by this position, with $200M in the Americas region). In this role, you will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for the Energy Management Services category in the Americas by leveraging synergies across businesses and driving the "One Supply Chain" philosophy.

Job Responsibilities:
• Create and deploy in the region category strategies for each internal division you are working with and align these divisional strategies with relevant divisions and plants
• Optimize supplier base to drive the best cost and commercial conditions and to meet KPI targets
• Drive Regional Sourcing solutions for category strategy, optimizing spend in low-cost countries. Work closely with Procurement organizations.
• Provide expertise knowledge and leadership guidance to the whole organization for profit planning cycles, by providing support for expected cost down and materials economics. Create Annual Budget as part of Profit Planning for the spend managed.
• Support New Product Developments to drive optimal cost for the whole organization in the region in line with short, medium and long term strategies.
• Support Supplier Development, Quality and Supplier Quality Functions, and if necessary lead, any quality actions / discussions with suppliers to solve existing quality problems
• Monitor category supplier base performance: PPM / OTD
• Initiate and Monitor progress for any design optimization activities with suppliers and IDEAS
• Work together with plants for negotiation plans for small supplier managed by the plants.
• Work with key suppliers to implemented Eaton negotiated component prices and secure timely implementation of resulting cost reduction.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required OR in lieu of Bachelors Degree minimum of 7 years of experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic assemblies or components
• 3 years experience in EMS or electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic assemblies or components
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Preferred qualifications:
• Clear understanding of electronics manufacturing, basic understanding of sourcing (benefit if electronics sourcing experience).
