Position Overview: As a Software Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications developed using Angular. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber to validate the functionality and performance of our web applications. The ideal candidate will relish working at speed, have a great attention for detail, and outstanding communication skills. Engineers that show an aptitude for writing great code will be afforded the opportunity to contribute across the entire codebase.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation Development: Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber. Test Planning: Participate in test planning activities to define test scope, objectives, and strategies for web applications. Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of web applications across different browsers and platforms. Defect Identification: Identify and report defects with clear steps to reproduce, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution. Regression Testing: Implement and maintain automated regression test suites to ensure the stability of the application with each release. Continuous Integration: Integrate test automation into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for automated build and deployment verification. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive test automation best practices and participate in code reviews.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.Proven experience in software test automation, particularly with Selenium and Cucumber.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript.Familiarity with web technologies, including Angular.Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.Knowledge of software testing best practices and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other test automation frameworks and tools.Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles.
