LOCATION/HOURS
This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our San Francisco office. It is expected that some duties will be performed on-site at least 2-days a week, and some remotely, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will help determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.
All candidates must be within commutable distance of SEO’s offices at Three Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, CA 94111, upon hire.

POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
With a portfolio of operational, strategic, and student and instructor-facing responsibilities, the Assistant Director of Program Operations (ADPO) role provides the opportunity to make an impact both organization-wide and in direct service. The ADPO oversees Scholar program and data operations, special programs, and program operations team management. The individual oversees an annual budget and manages one full-time direct report. The ADPO works closely with the in New York City and reports to the San Francisco Director of Program. The ADPO’s key responsibilities are as follows:
Program Operations
Build and maintain program operational systems to ensure smooth program delivery and enable Program Managers to focus on Scholar engagement Proactively partner with Assistant Director of Program and Program Managers to ensure program operational systems are consistently, efficiently, and accurately supporting program delivery Oversee virtual delivery of weekday programming via Zoom and onsite operations for Saturday and Summer programming, including supplies, transportation, and food management Build and manage relationships with program site and space partners Ensure that SEO Scholars complies with school district guidelines regarding student safety; maintain emergency procedures and ensure staff are familiar with them Build and maintain crisis management resources and relationships Oversee partnership with Chabot Community College to support course selection, liaise with professors and College Success Instructors, and college data to ensure a successful and positive experience for Scholars Data Collection & Analysis
Serve as program evaluation and data lead for all high school grade levels collecting and analyzing data across our core academic curriculum, college admissions, dual-enrollment community college partnership, and mentorship and enrichment programs Oversee Salesforce and data tracking systems to measure program performance against metrics, setting and upholding standards for data tracking and reporting, supporting program staff, and addressing development-related requests for program data Develop slides for board meetings to share key data metrics and provide data for Key Performance Indicator tracking on at least a quarterly basis Liaise with New York based shared services teams overseeing Salesforce and learning management systems Special Programs Leadership
Coordinate key Scholars events and trips including Graduation, College Networking Day, Career Networking Day, FAFSA Day, Family Workshops, Special Saturdays, and college visits Design and manage Scholar dual enrollment programs with Chabot Community College, National Equity Lab, Cornell, and others Manage new donor-funded gap loan process in partnership with 12th Grade Program Managers and the Development Team Oversee SAT Prep provider relationship and contract Team Management
Directly manage Program Operations Manager; co-manage local Desktop Support Engineer shared with national IT team REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required 4+ years of experience in a similar operational leadership position; direct experience in school or nonprofit operations is strongly preferred 2+ years of experience managing a team of full-time staff with a track record of successfully developing and leading diverse teams to successful outcomes; working knowledge of CA state employment practices is a plus Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and senior leadership with high attention to detail Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; must be able to address and engage with diverse audiences through different mediums, including in-person and through messaging platforms, video chats/conferences, and phone calls Strong data analysis experience and comfort using Excel, Google Suite, and Salesforce DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with ELL students preferred Familiarity and/or experience with public education and youth communities in San Francisco Spanish language proficiency COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
